The three day meeting had avaried programme, including workshops about improving science communication, such as improving audience participation, dealing with emotions in presentations and what can science communicators learn from theatre. The meeting also had included a few science shows, including one of thelongest running shows in the country, exploding custard. The BIG event demo competition was held on the Thursday evening where the country's best science communicators battled it out to win the top prize. The event was a great chance for Dom to get ideas and also share some of the outreach activities that staff and students have done in the ICG. It was also a great chance for Dom to network and build contacts with other science communicators across the UK. A Crowd at BIGA Crowd at BIG
