The ICG continues its annual cosmology masterclass for A-level students at Portsmouth Grammar School (PGS). The event includes lectures focused on the areas of the curriculum, with a popular public talk in the evening. Acting Head of Physics at PGS, Jeremy Thomas said,"….the afternoon for our pupils was attended by 49 A-level/IB Physicists and the evening lecture by 110 people, many from local astronomy societies as well as our own pupils and parents. I noticed a significant number of Year 11 in the evening, which shows promise for our A-level/IB Physics numbers again next year. Kazuya’s talk was particularly well planned and judged the audience perfectly. Covering general relativity, cosmological constant , dark energy and fifth dimensions in one hour, at a level that held everyone’s attention, was very impressive!"
